10 Bold Predictions for the Future of Business Technology

How will the Cloud, ERP solutions and other business tech evolve in 2025 and beyond? We don’t have a magic crystal ball; however, we have the next best thing: Hundreds of years of collective business tech experience and expertise.

We asked our leadership to look ahead and make some bold predictions based on that expertise. Here are 10 of them:

    1. Enavate is going to disrupt the industry. We’re already recognized as a leading organization that has changed the ERP landscape for SMB clients, and our innovation-driven culture has us primed to go even further. “We recognize the challenges that our clients are going through, and we have the team and infrastructure that will help them overcome those challenges,” says Wyn Partington, Chief Growth Officer. “That’s how we’ll become the global ERP leader for SMBs.”
    2. AI will prove its value once and for all. Artificial Intelligence has made huge strides over the last couple of years, yet for many, it’s still something of a curiosity. That will change in 2025. “This is the year when AI will go from novelty to must-have business technology,” says Chad Sogge, EVP. “We’ll figure out exactly how AI can solve business problems, and it will start to become real in terms of business value. It’ll be transformational.”
    3. Copilot and Microsoft Dynamics will be the most dynamic duo in ERP.Microsoft Copilot is already one of the most visible products in the AI space, and in 2025, it will lead the charge for establishing AI’s business value. “The opportunities around Copilot are really going to change the game in the Microsoft Dynamics space,” says Eve Cline, Chief Experience Officer. “It will supercharge the Business Central platform, which is poised to take over the market, especially with SMBs.”
    4. The tech stack will be democratized. Advanced business tech is becoming more accessible than ever, and companies like Enavate are helping SMBs take advantage. “We’re going to democratize the technology stack, which enables all companies to compete on a global scale,” says Sogge. “It’s no longer going to only be enterprises that can afford it. It will be available to SMBs almost out-of-the-box, especially with what Enavate will be offering.”
    5. The way companies buy ERP solutions will change. For younger generations, tech has always moved quickly. As they enter leadership roles, they’ll expect much faster movement on things like ERP. “We talk about implementation cycles that are 6 to 12 months or longer, and I don’t think the younger generation will have the patience for something like that,” says Thomas Ajspur, CEO. “They’ll be looking for much faster implementations with a preconfigured setup and a subscription model.” And Enavate will be prepared to deliver.
    6. Enavate will evolve to offer full business solutions… “This is going to be the year that we move from selling ERP to selling a business solution,” says Sogge. “That means encompassing Business Central with other parts of our stack, like Power Platform with Power BI built it. We’ll be able to take AI and mold it into a solution that can accelerate your entire business.”
    7. …and remove the need for customizations. For years, businesses have added lots of different customizations to their ERP solutions. This has helped address needs that weren’t met out of the box, and it’s also made these systems a lot more complicated — and thus less stable. “At Enavate, we’ll develop solutions that address the 4 or 5 pain points per industry or micro-vertical,” says Carl-Peter Thorwid, Chief Operating Officer. “That means companies won’t have to do all of those customizations in order to take full advantage of the technology.”
    8. You’ll be able to implement a solution with a few clicks. Customizations mean longer implementation times, and time is, of course, money. Many SMBs can’t afford to spend too much on either. “That’s why we’re going to create solutions that take one, two or three clicks to implement,” says Olena Kapral, Partner Delivery Leader. “You won’t have to spend all that time and money on different clarifications. Go to our page, choose a package, click ‘implement,’ and it’s implemented.”
    9. Data will be more accessible than ever. “Within the next decade, every business will have the data they need at their fingertips to do what they need to do,” says René Stephansen, CFO. “They’ll have all the information they need to make a difference in their business.”
    10. The war in Ukraine will finally end. This one isn’t about business technology per se, however, it definitely affects us here at Enavate. Much of our team is located in Ukraine, and they’ve been able to do remarkable work despite the ongoing war that started nearly three years ago. We see reasons for optimism. “It is my strong hope that in 2025, the war will be over, and we’ll have a huge party to celebrate,” says Karpal. “And then we’ll double the team in Ukraine.”
