Key Experiences from Community Summit NA 2022
This year’s event was kicked off in a powerful way, as our CEO, Thomas, was interviewed on stage by John Siefert, CEO of Dynamics Communities, about DynamicsUkraine.org – the official charity for Community Summit this year. Thomas discussed our continued efforts to help support and grow the tech community in Ukraine during and after the war. Ukraine funds donated by Dynamics Communities and Users totaled $37,035 bringing the GoFundMe total to $104,367 raised!
We certainly made the most of our time at Summit in Booth #1214. We discussed our free 5-minute migration assessments, gave away grand prizes and offered ways to support Ukraine. We loved having the opportunity to bring the personal side of Enavate into attendee’s tech solutions as well as discuss how the events in Ukraine have affected all of us and ways we can rally together to help them.
An exciting moment for us was when Enavate’s Kevin Armstrong was named the 2022 Legend Award winner for his outstanding performance and leadership within the channel!
We also learned Microsoft’s take on what’s to come, including the viability of on-premises systems, how roles are changing in the C-suite, concerns and solutions around cybersecurity and ransomware, and more.
Enavate’s experts brought their own experiences and insights to the table in seven dynamic sessions.
- Free Is for Me! A 5-minute Cloud Migration Assessment Tool for Dynamics GP – Attendees learned how we’re working with Microsoft to offer a FREE Cloud Migration Assessment Tool, designed to analyze your GP metadata plus ISV solutions in just 5 minutes. This tool determines where you are in your Cloud journey, defines the requirements to migrate your data and provides a personal roadmap for your move to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Rapid Migration: Not a Myth but a Methodology – Kevin: Global Enterprise Strategy Leader Chad: EVP, Enavate Partner Services, Jennifer Product POD Leader and Chris Lavelle, Vice President of Strategy, discussed how Dynamics 365 provides a secure, cost-effective Cloud-based solution, but only if you successfully deploy it to reap the benefits and value. They demystified the risk, time and disruption of Cloud migration. Through this discussion they taught attendees how to benefit from Enavate’s modern migration approach.
- Integration Options: What to Do as Scribe Insight Reaches End of Life Cycle - Roger VanderLugt, Senior Consultant at Enavate reviewed your options if you’re currently running Scribe Insight integrations. Strong options include: eOne Solutions’ SmartConnect, Dynamics GP Integration Manager and/or using .NET, but not all may fit your business needs. Roger reviewed the pros and cons of each application and discussed the steps needed to successfully migrate away from Scribe and set yourself up for success.
- Change Is hard. But Moving from On-premises to the Cloud Doesn’t have to be with Business Central. – Chad and Chris had “real talk” about how moving to the Cloud can feel daunting, even when advantages clearly outweigh maintaining existing platforms such as Dynamics GP, SL or NAV. New migration tools and Cloud hosting alternatives ease the transition and minimize growing pains.
- Surviving the War: When Online Apps Become Real Life Solutions - Our panelists highlighted how Enavate successfully implemented the Power Apps tool to navigate communication efforts with nearly 200 Ukrainian teammates during the Russian invasion to keep their safety and business continuity in the forefront. This real-life and current example proves the importance of humanizing technology, developing forward-thinking initiatives for better communication and enhancing business processes through evaluation.
- Sneak Peek: See What GP Processes Look Like in BC – It can be difficult to visualize what your process in Dynamics GP will look like in Business Central. This session, led by Jennifer, gave an overview of new features users gain in BC and how daily tasks transfer over. It was a great preview for businesses who were still on the fence about migration!
- GP to BC: Make Your Move Easy with Microsoft’s Enhanced Migration Tool – Kasey, our Product Leader, explored the benefits of hosting your system in the Cloud, including remote access, integrations, simplified maintenance, and greater insights. Additionally, Kasey went over how the enhanced migration tool makes the move to Business Central easier than ever and seamlessly migrates data.
